Thank You, Western New York

We regret to inform that we have ceased publication of the Buffalo-Western New York edition of In Good Health.

We have enjoyed the work involved in publishing the paper and we are proud of the more than 100 editions we have published — more than eight years doing this.

The decision to stop publication came down to one simple fact – we failed to sell enough advertising space to cover the cost of production and distribution. Since the paper was distributed free of charge, advertising was crucial.

We have been publishing at a loss, for the most part. It got to a point that we were unable to handle those losses anymore.

It makes us feel good that readers love the publication. Most copies we put out every month were gone at the end of the cycle and we often got notes from readers saying how much they appreciated the paper. Actually, we were getting an average of about 30 notes every month. That’s remarkable. That helped us keep going.

Our January issue – our last – has been published online only.

Thanks to readers for picking up the paper every month and thanks to our advertisers who provided advertising dollars that made possible for us to publish.

The editions of In Good Health we have in other markets — Rochester/Finger Lakes, Syracuse/Central New York and Utica-Rome/Mohawk Valley —will continue as usual.
